The community is invited to tour Minnesota State Community and Technical College’s new $6.5 million Transportation Center during an open house from 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, on the college’s Moorhead campus.
Work began in 2014 on the project, which involved renovation of an existing space and new construction. The new center will relieve congestion in the transportation program labs, accommodate higher enrollment, allow for new technologies and improve the learning environment for up to 150 students in M State’s Diesel Equipment Technology and Automotive Technology programs.
The center will be ready for students when the 2016-17 academic year begins Monday, Aug. 22.
Along with the ribbon-cutting for the new facility and recognition of its partners in the business community, M State will also mark the 50th anniversary celebration of the Moorhead campus during the Aug. 17 open house.
