Tickets are on sale now for the Minnesota State Community and Technical College Theatre Department’s upcoming performances of The Rimers of Eldritch, the story of a small town grappling with its secrets.
The drama by Lanford Wilson portrays the residents of the decaying Bible belt town of Eldritch who are dealing with a sexual assault and the murder of an elderly hermit. While the community prides itself on its morality, its capacity for viciousness and cruelty are uncovered as its secrets are bared.
The play is directed by M State theatre instructor Stefanie Gerhardson.
Cast members are Hailey Formo (Wadena); Jessica Gullickson, Austin Begley, Connor Murphy, Julia Christenson, Teresa Widiger, Amy Melbye and Samantha Andrews (Fergus Falls); Nelly Winrod (Robbinsdale); Breanna Roen and Gaige Jevne (Underwood); Mykey Watchorn (Frazee); Emily Hough (Elbow Lake); Jacob Haugen and Cassidy Anderson (Henning); Megan Riedel (Clarissa); Jonathon Jensen (Pelican Rapids), Noah Dressler (Morris) and Jacob Seeman (St. Cloud).
Performances are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 4-5, and Thursday through Sunday, March 10-12; with a matinee showing at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 6, at Waage Theatre on M State’s Fergus Falls campus.
Tickets are $9 in advance and $11 at the door for adults, and $7 in advance and $8 at the door for students. Tickets can be purchased at the M State box office from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and one hour prior to the performance, by calling 218.736.1600 or online at mstatetickets.com.
