M State campuses celebrate commencement

Commencement ceremonies will mark the graduation of 977 students on the four campuses of Minnesota State Community and Technical College on May 13, 14 and 15.

Spring campus graduation events are open to the public and are scheduled for:

Moorhead: 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, in in the Concordia College Fieldhouse. The student speakers are Student Government Association representative Brian Raftevold (Associate of Arts degree with Social Science emphasis) and Diane Hesse (AA degree).

Fergus Falls: 3 p.m. Thursday, May 14, in Legacy Hall, with a reception following the ceremony. The student speaker is Miranda Hubert (AA degree), and the keynote speaker is retiring biology faculty member Carol Bischof.

Detroit Lakes: 7 p.m. Thursday, May 14, at Detroit Lakes High School. The student speaker is Nancy Dougherty (Associate of Science, Early Childhood and Paraprofessional Education). A reception will precede the ceremony at the high school.

Wadena: 7 p.m. Friday, May 15, at the Wadena-Deer Creek High School. The student speaker is Student Government Association President Joey Price (Electrical Technology: Industrial Electrician diploma). A reception for graduates and their families will follow the ceremony at the high school.
