Spring Choir Concert features student favorites, talents

An eclectic array of student favorites will be featured during the upcoming Spring Choir Concert set for 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 1, in Legacy Hall on the Fergus Falls campus of Minnesota State Community and Technical College.

“This is a multi-genre concert filled with a variety of styles and selections that are driven by the students’ interests and talents,” said M State Choral Director Teresa Ashworth.

The music will include traditional spirituals, American folk tunes, hymns, 1970s soul music and Appalachian fiddle music performed by the M State Concert Choir and Voice Ensemble.

Soloists and features include Jacquelyn Imsande, Jacob Seeman, Ashley Forsman, Keirsten Markgraf, Miranda Hubert, Josh Wheeler, Vanessa Zahnow, Spencer Johnson and Jesse Vanilau.

Tickets for all concerts are $9 in advance and $11 at the door for adults and $7 in advance and $8 at the door for students. Tickets can be purchased at the M State Box Office (Room C325), by calling 218-736-1600 or online at www.mnstatetickets.com. The Box Office is open from 8 a.m. to 4:40 p.m. Monday through Friday and one hour prior to each performance.
