M State presents mystery comedy ‘The Murder Room’

Imagine Mavis Templeton Hollister’s surprise when she returns home to find her husband, Edgar, still alive. Her aim must have been terrible, since she shot him three times.

Then Mavis’ cat dies after ingesting the poisoned cocoa meant for Edgar, and she learns that, when he does die, Edgar’s estate will go to his only child by his first wife …

The community is invited to enjoy the laughs and witty dialogue as the Minnesota State Community and Technical College Theatre Department presents the crime thriller spoof The Murder Room. Miranda Hubert of Fergus Falls plays the role of Mavis, and Noah Dressler of Morris is Edgar, her newlywed husband.

The cast of the mystery farce also includes M State students Austin Begley, Serah Demmer and Teresa Widiger of Fergus Falls; and Mykenzey Watchorn of Frazee.

The Murder Room, written by Jack Sharkey, is directed by Stefanie Gerhardson.
