MI is a directive, client-centered counseling style for eliciting behavior change by helping individuals to explore and resolve ambivalence. MI is a goal-oriented approach to engage individuals in behavior change and to help them push past low motivation to change. MI may be applied to a range of issues such as depression and anxiety, addiction, classroom management, health coaching, parenting, and more.
This 2-day training is provided free of charge to you by the M State Living Well Coalition and the SPF PFS Projects on our Fergus Falls and Moorhead campuses. Food, training materials, and a copy of the bestselling work for professionals, Motivational Interviewing: Helping People Change by W.R. Miller and S. Rollnick, will be provided.
