Financial aid links

The Student Guide is a quick reference to federal student aid programs, along with application instructions.

The Federal Student Aid website provides information about creating and using your FSA ID, which is needed to electronically sign your online FAFSA and Master Promissory Note (MPN).

FAFSA on the Web is the Department of Education's free online financial aid application.

Specific financial aid programs are targeted for veterans.

Direct Loan Consolidation provides information about who should consolidate their direct student loans.

Direct loan provides information about your direct student loan and online access to your loan account.

The Minnesota Office of Higher Education has information on state financial aid programs, reciprocity, child care and SELF loans.

The Financial Aid Estimator will help you estimate your eligibility for the Federal Pell Grant and Minnesota State Grant. This calculation is based on your Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) and the cost of attendance at the Minnesota institution you select.

Social Security Administration provides information on how to change the name on your Social Security card or request a replacement card.

Selective Service System provides a link to on-line registration with the Selective Service System. All males between the ages of 18-26 must be registered with Selective Service.

The Smart Student Guide provides a wealth of information about financial aid, including and EFC Estimator, College Cost Projector, Savings Projector, scholarship information and links to scholarship searches.

Request a copy of your federal tax return transcript from the Internal Revenue Service.

Visit Defaulted Student Loans if you need information about resolving your default status. (Defaulted student loans must be resolved and documentation provided to the college before students will be eligible to receive financial aid.)
