A member of the M State faculty since 2014, Ashley Murray is an instructor in the Associate Degree Nursing program on the Detroit Lakes campus and also taught previously in the PN program there.
She primarily teaches clinical courses on the medical-surgical unit at Essentia Health in Detroit Lakes and also works full time as a supervisor/charge nurse on a general medical unit at Sanford Health in Fargo. Her nursing experience includes five years in the emergency department and the medical-surgical unit at Mahnomen Health Center and four years in the intensive care unit at Essentia in Detroit Lakes.
Murray earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from North Dakota State University and Master of Science in Nursing Education Specialization from the University of North Dakota. She has also earned American Nurses Credentialing Center Board Certification in Pain Management. Her special professional interests are mental health and simulations.
