M State has been providing industry-recognized small engine technician training since 1967.

A 69-credit PowerSports Technology Associate of Applied Science degree, 60-credit diploma and 30-credit certificate are offered on our Moorhead campus, in close proximity to some of the best recreational areas Minnesota has to offer.

Students receive training in the areas of:

In addition, a PowerSports Club promotes professional growth opportunities for students in the program.

PowerSports Technology's innovative flexible scheduling, modeled after industry training programs, makes it possible to tailor your college coursework to accommodate work and family commitments.

Many students work for dealerships while attending M State or following graduation. Students also are often hired by race teams, factories, business owners or service managers.

Advisory board guides curriculum

Our program is guided by an advisory board made up of local and regional industry members who review our curriculum, ensuring that students are learning the skills needed by employers. Advisory board members include:
