Workforce development scholarships


Thanks to the Minnesota Legislature's creation of the Workforce Development Scholarship, you could be eligible for a $2,500 scholarship from Minnesota State Community and Technical College. With M State's full-year tuition and fees starting at $5,361, the scholarship would cover nearly half of your tuition! Scholarships are available for Minnesota students graduating from high school in spring 2019 and entering the high-growth, high-demand career fields of advanced manufacturing, agriculture, health care and information technology.

Deadline to apply is February 28, 2019. Availability is limited.

Additional Criteria:

  • Student must be a Minnesota resident
  • Student must be a 2019 Minnesota high school graduate
  • Student must complete the FAFSA by February 14, 2019
  • Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 9 credits per semester
  • Student must maintain a cumulative 2.0 GPA
  • Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need
  • Deadline to apply for this award is Thursday, February 28, 2019
