Kayla Simon

Kayla Simon joined M State as a college social worker in 2016 and assists students on the Detroit Lakes and Wadena campuses. An M State alum with Liberal Arts and Sales, Marketing and Management degrees, she returned to school for her bachelor's and master's degrees in social work after serving with the military in Iraq. Simon works with students on overcoming barriers to success such as housing, employment, childcare, transportation and food insecurities. She's a connection to campus and community resources and an advocate for student needs.
