About this program
This certificate is designed to ensure that students are workplace-ready for the industrial workplace. This course of study will provide basic communication, computer, technical math and safety skills, as well as elective technical skills needed in the industrial workplace. In addition, students will be introduced to the work habits and attitudes that lead to success in the industrial workplace.
Program outcomes
  1. Demonstrate effective written and oral communication for the industrial workplace.
  2. Demonstrate basic computer skills for the industrial workplace.
  3. Demonstrate basic math skills for the industrial workplace.
  4. Demonstrate an understanding of productive habits and attitudes in the industrial workplace.
  5. Demonstrate a basic understanding of power and mechanical systems used in the industrial workplace.
  6. Demonstrate safety skills in the industrial workplace.
