Class of 2020

Come celebrate with us!

The coronavirus pandemic meant the cancellation of in-person commencement ceremonies at M State and all Minnesota State colleges and universities this spring, but M State plans to recognize our graduating students and celebrate their achievements in a virtual celebration at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 25.

Plans for the virtual celebration are coming together, and it’s going to be a fun event you’ll want to share with family and friends. We'll update this page as plans are finalized.

We’re hoping that our graduates will join in the celebration by submitting a photo or a quote – or both. If you’d like to participate, the deadline for submission is Sunday, June 7.

Be assured, too, that graduating students who want to participate in an in-person graduation ceremony will be given that opportunity during M State’s upcoming commencement ceremonies scheduled for December 2020 and May 2021.

Celebration packages coming

Graduates should watch their mail for "virtual celebration packages" that will be mailed in mid-June. In the package, you'll receive your official M State diploma, a padded diploma cover and other items for your virtual celebration.

An online Class of 2020 Celebration Program which can be saved or printed also will be posted on this page before our celebration.
