About ITS

Information Technology Services (ITS) is led by Dan Knudson Chief Information Officer, who reports directly to the office of the President. ITS is made up of two key departments: Computer Help Center and Technical Operations. Each of these Departments report directly to the Chief Information Officer.


Computer Help Center

Computer Help Center staff provide technical support for hardware and software used by M State students, faculty and staff, and should be your first point of contact for all technology-related issues. The Computer Help Center services include:

  • Configure student laptops to connect to MState IT resources
  • Desire2Learn (D2L)
  • StarID
  • Campus Printing
  • Classroom projectors, AV and ITV equipment and other voice conferencing systems
  • Maintains and distributes college-wide site license software
  • Technology purchasing

Technical Operations

Technical Operations provides the overall support for our campus network infrastructure, system security, compliance and web application development. Technical Operations include:

  • Telecommunications
  • Servers and Networking
  • Video Surveillance
  • Digital Signage
  • Management and Design of Campus Infrastructure (wired and wireless)
  • Backup and Restoration of Data
  • Security Administration
  • Installation of Classroom AV Equipment
  • Web Application Development
