Our program

M State's Associate of Applied Science degree in Individualized Studies provides students with an opportunity to update their skills and expand employment opportunities with a customized degree.

The 60-credit program is available through eCampus or on our campuses in Detroit Lakes, Fergus Falls, Moorhead and Wadena.

Students work with faculty and staff to integrate courses in a number of subject areas and create a degree plan that meets their educational needs. Degree requirements include 45 specialized career technical credits and 15 general education credits.

 

Here’s what you’ll learn

Students are expected to develop the skills required for success in their chosen career field, including:

  • Critical thinking, writing, speaking and analytical skills
  • Foundational knowledge of the content andmethods related to the selected goal areas
  • Preparation for career development
  • Knowledge of required theories and appliedpractices
  • Ability to make decisions reflecting integrityand ethical responsibility
  • Proficiency in the use of technology andmathematical computations
