Virus Protection Symantec End-Point Protection is available to all MState students, free of charge. Download information is available within the student portal SpartanNet, or contact your campus Computer Help Center for more information.

Hardware

Processor MacBook Pro or with Retina (have it in-hand before start of classes!!)
Hard Drive Any size harddrive (most are sufficient; bigger is better)
RAM 4GB minimum, more is better
CD-RW/DVD Combo Drive Required
Ethernet Network Required
Wireless Network Wi-Fi wireless (standard)
USB Flash Drive Required New Macs have USB3.0, Ethernet and Thunderbolt ports, no disc drive

Graphic Software

Adobe Creative Cloud: online subscription - Adobe no longer offers a hard disc version of the software, it is ONLY available via online as a download. Adobe ONLY accepts subscriptions via a major credit card or PayPal account for payment. Please ensure you are able to arrange purchase of the software. It is a requirement, we cannot bypass their system.

Microsoft® Office University 2011 for the Mac is available in each campus Bookstore. Cost is $20.00. Included in this Office Suite are Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

The Microsoft office software is only available to purchase once during the student's academic enrollment unless the software version changes.
