Sheri Johnson teaches several communication and theater courses at M State and is a concurrent enrollment program mentor. She believes in creating lively, interactive and supportive learning environments where students thrive, enjoy learning, and apply concepts beyond the classroom.
Johnson has a master of science degree in communication, a master of arts degree in English, and a bachelor of arts degree in English as well as communication studies and theatre. She has continued to take graduate coursework in communication and psychology and holds a Minnesota 7-12 high school teaching license.
Before joining M State in 2010, Johnson was a marketing manager at a children's publishing company in Minneapolis, where she managed the classroom division, wrote several nonfiction children's books, and provided voiceover narration for product and marketing material. She has been involved in more than 75 theater productions for colleges and communities in Minnesota and South Dakota, and has been a member of several communication, theater and education associations.
