Michele Waldera, MBA, holds associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees in accounting. She brings 13 years of industry experience to the classroom and has been at M State for over two decades, offering students both practical insight and deep institutional knowledge.
Waldera's teaching philosophy is strongly shaped by her upbringing in a military family and centers on creating an inclusive, respectful learning environment where all students feel valued. She is committed to meeting students where they are academically, emotionally and socially, and strives to understand their goals and challenges.
Waldera's dedication to teaching excellence has been recognized with the 2025 Board of Trustees Outstanding Educator Award and the M State Distinguished Achievement Award for Excellence in Teaching.
Outside the classroom, she enjoys a variety of crafts and sewing projects, and has a special passion for sunflowers.
