Jessica Daniels has a master of science degree in molecular, cellular, developmental biology and genetics from the University of Minnesota, and a bachelor's degree in biology from Concordia College. She joined M State in 2005 after previously teaching at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and Gustavus Adolphus College.
A 2020 recipient of the Minnesota State Board of Trustees Outstanding Educator award, Daniels strives to engage students with inquiry, active learning, relevancy and technology; foster a safe, inclusive learning environment; and foster an appreciation of the natural world and love of learning.
Outside of the classroom, she enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, hiking and yoga. She has also been a figure skating coach for 20 years.
