Steve King

Steve King is a co-athletic director at M State and an instructor in health, physical education and recreation. King spent 15 years as an assistant football coach and 10 years as the head football coach of the Spartans. He was also head softball coach of the Lady Spartan softball team for 12 years. King is a 1985 M State graduate (then Fergus Falls Community College) and former student athlete who played two years of football for the Spartans. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in physical education from St. Cloud State University and a master’s degree in health, physical education and recreation from Northern State University in South Dakota.
