Joe Mrazek joined M State in the fall of 1998 after working for five years as a designer, CNC programmer, quality control manager and assistant production manager in the manufacturing industry. He has 27 years of experience in higher education, teaching engineering design and manufacturing-related courses at two-year colleges and four-year universities.
At M State, Mrazek has served on multiple committees and held various positions, including chair of the Academic Affairs and Standards Council and chapter vice president of the Minnesota State College Faculty at the Moorhead campus.
In the classroom, Mrazek takes a student-focused approach, aiming to see every student succeed in their chosen field.
He holds a master's degree in career/technology education and a bachelor's degree in industrial technology from Bemidji State University, as well as an associate degree from Central Lakes College in Brainerd.
In his free time, he enjoys golfing, gardening, watching sports and spending time with his family.
