Tim Preuss holds a master’s degree in education from North Dakota State University and maintains multiple industry certifications, including Global Information Assurance Certifications in systems and network auditing and security essentials through the SANS Institute. He is a member of the ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) special interest group on cybersecurity and information technology education as serves on the ACM2Y Executive Board.
Preuss brings broad, hands‑on information technology experience to the classroom, including computer repair, network design and systems administration. He is currently maintaining four type one hypervisors, two web servers and other network devices.
Preuss works closely with the college's Technology, Gaming, and Robotics Club and supports the Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition team, helping students apply technical skills in real‑world, competitive environments.
