Students in M State’s Automotive Service Technology program are benefiting from a recent surprise $5,000 donation from Corwin Automotive Group in Fargo.

The unsolicited gift came with no stipulations, allowing program leaders the flexibility to direct the funds to where they would have the greatest impact. They determined that the donation would be used in two key ways to enhance student learning and career readiness.

First, the funds will support the purchase of specialized tools that are not typically available in the program. Access to these advanced tools gives students valuable hands-on experience and allows them to build confidence working with industry-standard equipment before entering the workforce.

Second, the donation will help cover student participation in training events and conferences. These opportunities allow students to expand their technical knowledge, stay current with industry trends, and connect directly with potential employers, an important step in launching successful automotive careers.

Representatives from Corwin Automotive Group also serve on M State’s Automotive Service Technology Advisory Board, helping guide the program to ensure it remains aligned with industry needs. Their support underscores the strong partnership between M State and regional employers committed to investing in the next generation of skilled technicians.
