Derek Grahn joined M State as an instructor in fall 2025 and teaches a range of courses in business, marketing, management, entrepreneurship and technology. He holds a master's degree in business administration from Minnesota State University Moorhead, along with bachelor's degrees in business education (Valley City State University) and sport management (University of Minnesota Twin Cities).
Grahn brings experience in high school teaching and coaching as well as director and managerial roles across various fields. He has owned a small business, conducts workforce training for local companies and provides consulting for startup businesses.
