M State student elected to state position
Shawna Peterson, a student in the Radiologic Technology program at Minnesota State Community and Technical College - Detroit Lakes, has been elected president of the statewide professional radiology student organization. Peterson will head the Minnesota Association of Radiology Students, which is affiliated with the Minnesota Society of Radiologic Technologists. As president of the student affiliate, Peterson will be a voting member of the MSRT board of directors. She will also chair the student organization's fall conference, which will be Oct. 20 at M State - Detroit Lakes. The one-day conference will be attended by students from throughout Minnesota and will provide workshops and leadership training from Lifeskills Academy. Peterson is a graduate of Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City High School.
