Please check the foundation scholarship pages regularly. Although some foundation scholarships have spring deadlines, many scholarships from industry partners have later deadlines. The scholarship links are updated regularly.
There is still time to apply for both first- and second-year scholarship through Fergus Area College Foundation for M State - Fergus Falls Campus students. Even though the preferred deadlines have passed, additional funds are available, and students are encouraged to apply.
Minnesota State Community and Technical College is proud to serve each distinct community where our campuses are located. Tangible evidence of this exists in the five foundations organized for the benefit of our college and through the work of our dedicated boards of directors and donors who support our fundraising endeavors.
In 2006, with significant help from the Otto Bremer Foundation, we began a two-year process of reviewing the status of our existing foundations and identifying the unique position of a collegewide foundation. At the same time, M State was able to hire advancement staff for each campus. Staff worked with each foundation board to strengthen the foundations on each campus.
The campus boards provided representation on a task force that helped to access resources for the unique needs of each campus foundation and set to work on assessing the need and distinct role of the M State Foundation.
Today, alumni and friends of M State can participate in campus initiatives and scholarship programs through the Detroit Lakes Area College Foundation, the Fergus Area College Foundation, the Moorhead Community and Technical College Foundation and the Wadena Area College Foundation. Collegewide programs supported by business and industry and scholarships for online students are the primary focus of the Minnesota State Community and Technical College Foundation.
As alumni and friends of education, we ask that you stay in touch with M State, where many great things are happening. We look forward to sharing our story, and we would like to hear from you. If you attended one of our campuses in the last 50-plus years, we ask that you update your information on the form available on the Alumni pages.
