M State welcomes high school students who enroll through the Post-Secondary Enrollment Options program. Success in college depends on how well students adjust to college-level classes and the responsibilities of college attendance. Students interested in attending M State while in high school must complete the PSEO student application for admission and the agreement of understanding. The deadlines for PSEO applications are Aug. 15 for fall semester and Dec. 15 for spring semester.

Students who have attended M State, Northwest Technical College or Fergus Falls Community College in the past and would like to return to complete any on-campus or online program should complete the online returning student application.
In addition, students transferring from one M State campus to another M State campus (including eCampus) should complete the online returning student application to transfer within the college.
A student who is interested in attending M State to take one or two courses each semester is considered a visiting student. Because visiting students are not seeking a degree, they are not eligible for financial aid. Visiting students are not required to attend an orientation session. On the visiting student application, students should indicate which course(s) he or she is interested in taking.
