Minnesota State Community and Technical College is proud to serve each distinct community where our campuses are located. Tangible evidence of this exists in the five foundations organized for the benefit of our college. Tangible evidence also exists through the work of our dedicated boards of directors and donors who support our fundraising endeavors.
In 2006, with significant help from the Otto Bremer Foundation, we began a two-year process of reviewing the status of our existing foundations and identifying the unique position of a college-wide foundation. At the same time, M State was able to hire advancement staff for each campus. Staff worked with each foundation board to strengthen the foundations on each campus.
The campus boards provided representation on a Task Force that helped to access resources for the unique needs of each campus foundation and set to work on assessing the need and distinct role of the M State Foundation.
Today, alumni and friends of M State can participate in campus initiatives and scholarship programs through the Detroit Lakes Area College Foundation, the Fergus Area College Foundation, the Moorhead Community and Technical College Foundation and the Wadena Area College Foundation. College-wide programs supported by business and industry and scholarships for online students are the primary focus of the Minnesota State Community and Technical College Foundation.
Where and how you support us is up to you, but please stay in touch through your campus foundation or through the M State foundation. We want to hear from you!
