Description: This course prepares students to apply mathematics (percents, metric system, molar mass, equivalent mass, molarity, normality, ratios, etc.) to formulas used in chemistry, histotechnique and the medical laboratory courses. The course emphasizes practical application of lab equations used to calculate quantities required to prepare chemical solutions/regents. An introduction to the basic laboratory measuring equipment will also be included. This course is intended for anyone taking a chemistry course.
