eCampus Students

To be successful in your online courses through eCampus, you must participate actively from day one of your courses. The following checklist will help get you ready for your experience with online courses. SpartanNet is your eCampus portal and the gateway to access your online courses and other College resources that will support your success.

STEP ONE: Login to SpartanNet.
Login Instructions
  • Log on with your MnSCU Star ID and password.
  • If you do not know this information or have not activated your Star ID, you will want to use the self-help features on the Star ID management site at https://starid.mnscu.edu

STEP TWO: Locate your email icon in SpartanNet

STEP THREE: Locate the eServices icon in SpartanNet.

  • Click on "Courses and Registration" to view your schedule and course start dates.
STEP FOUR: Order your books at least three weeks prior to the first day of the class.

STEP FIVE: Pay for your courses

In SpartanNet, click on My eServices, "Bills and Payment" and "Balance Due by Term."

STEP SIX: Preview your Courses: some courses may be available to preview before the start date.

In SpartanNet - Click on D2L Desire to Learn

  • Click on the + sign beside the semester and locate your courses.
  • Participate in your course daily beginning on the course start date. Your active participation in your courses is critical to your success!
 

Computer Requirements

All eCampus students must have daily access to a reliable computer with high-speed data service. For your convenience, computer labs are available on all campuses and are open to all currently enrolled students. Some of our programs have specific computer requirements. Note: Tablet devices and smartphones do not typically support all the applications involved with online instruction. You cannot rely exclusively on a tablet device or smartphone to be successful with your online courses.
