Student Employment

Work Study

Many students are eligible for work study funds as part of their entire college financial aid package. Each campus has a variety of work study job positions available. The positions are limited to a maximum of 10 hours of work per week. If you are interested in a work study job, you first need to determine if you are eligible for work study funds as part of your financial aid package.

Off Campus Employment

Many students find that their best option is to maintain employment in their community while attending college. Continuing employment in the right job during college can provide a student with valuable experience.

For full-time students or those with additional responsibilities, balancing the demands of a job with their need for study time can be challenging. Many experts recommend that a full-time student should work no more than 20 hours per week while attending college. Review your situation carefully as you consider employment options.

Each M State campus posts employment information in various locations. Local newspapers with classified ads are also available in each campus library.
