Anthony Schaffhauser, interim dean of enrollment at M State, enjoys leading the people and processes that help a wide variety of students reach their educational goals. Research clearly shows the benefits of higher education, he says, so he feels great satisfaction in linking people to educational opportunities.
Before joining M State he served as executive director for business and industry outreach at Bemidji State University and Northwest Technical College. He previously was a market analyst, a college instructor, a research associate, an industrial electrical technician and a ski patroller.
Although I am intrigued by the thought of a new career as a financial advisor, I know that higher education offers much better returns than stocks.
In my limited free time I like to enjoy the outdoors hiking, paddling and pontoon boating with my wife and two dogs, as well as fishing and trying to improve (or at least maintain) a house with great "potential" on seven acres of mostly wooded land.
