Three Seminfinalists for President of Minnesota State Community and Technical College Named (posted April 13)

Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) has named three semifinalists who are under consideration to be president of Minnesota State Community and Technical College. The candidates are Martyn Clay, Cheri Jimeno and Ron Langrell III.

Martyn Clay's visits will take place April 18-19.

Cheri Jimeno's visits will take place April 16-17.

Ron Langrell's visits will take place April 18-19.

Semifinalists to Visit Campuses and Communities (posted April 12)

Three semifinalists for the college presidency will visit each of M State's four campuses - Detroit Lakes, Fergus Falls, Moorhead and Wadena - during the week of April 16. Each candidate will participate in a campus tour, community tour and open forum providing opportunities for faculty, staff, students and members of the community to meet and offer feedback on each of the candidates. A detailed schedule can be found by clicking on the "Visit Schedule" link below.

The candidates were recommended by a search advisory committee comprised of students, faculty, staff and community leaders and chaired by Joyce Helens, president of St. Cloud Technical and Community College. A letter from Search Advisory Committee Chair Helens is also posted for reference.

Presidential Search Discovery Sessions (posted Oct. 31)

Marti Cizek will be traveling to the M State campuses Monday, Nov. 7 and Tues., Nov. 8 to seek input from students, staff, faculty, administrators/supervisors and the community. The input will be used to build the President Position Profile. Marti is interested in learning answers to the following questions:
  1. What does M State do really well? What are you especially proud of?
  2. What are two or three of the most significant opportunities facing M State and its President?
  3. What are two or three of the most significant challenges facing M State and its President?
  4. What are two or three key qualifications or characteristics (e.g. skills, abilities, experiences, credentials) required in the President to lead M State in the future?
  5. What are two or three of the most important roles played by the President of M State?

The Discovery Sessions will be taking place as follows:

Monday, Nov. 7

  • Morning session - Fergus Falls campus
  • Afternoon session - Moorhead campus

Tuesday, Nov. 8

  • Morning session - Detroit Lakes campus
  • Afternoon session - Wadena campus

* Perham employees are encouraged to attend at any of the campus sites.

Presidential Search Information Sessions (posted Oct. 18)

Please join us on Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 10:00 a.m. or 2:30 p.m. for informational sessions on the M State Presidential Search. Linda Skallman, Associate Vice Chancellor for Human Resources, will be leading the information sessions which will last approximately one hour. The sessions will be offered via ITV at the following locations:
