M State Presidential Search Begins

Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Chancellor Steven Rosenstone has initiated a search to select the next president of Minnesota State Community and Technical College. Since July, M State has been led by Interim President Peggy Kennedy. The selection of a new president is expected to be announced in the spring of 2012. Information related to the search process will continue to be posted on this website.

Established in 2003, Minnesota State Community and Technical College serves more than 9,200 students each year. M State offers more than 120 career and liberal arts programs at locations in the heart of Minnesota's beautiful lakes country and the Fargo-Moorhead metropolitan area. The success of the college is not only because of the strong foundation of each campus but in relevant and cutting-edge programs and delivery methods. M State is a regional leader in online education offering 25 online majors and hundreds of courses leading to degrees, diplomas and certificates through eCampus. M State's Associate of Arts degree is offered on all campuses and online, transferring easily toward a bachelor's degree. Students enjoy a rich college experience through a wide array of student life activities (one campus has residence halls) and travel abroad programs. Additional college highlights include:

  • The College ranks among the top three two-year Minnesota colleges in fundraising and awarded $207,000 in scholarships
    in 2011-12.
  • Community partnerships provide on-the-job experience so students see career options early in their college life. Nearly 750 industry and business representatives serve on advisory boards, ensuring curriculum meets industry standards.
  • Business & Entrepreneurial Services assists new and aspiring business owners.
  • M State serves 9,200 students each year, with more than half attending full time. The College is seeing a growing diversity in its population, adding to the rich campus life opportunities.
